James Edgar "Jay" Sosebee

JAMES EDGAR "JAY" SOSEBEE, age 78, of Demorest, GA, died Friday, September 22, 2006 as the result of an automobile accident. Born in White County, GA on May 28, 1928, he was a son of the late James Edgar Sosebee, Sr. and Myrtle Sisk Sosebee. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Claude, Hubert and Homer Sosebee and 2 sisters, Flonia Smith and Dollie Allen. Mr. Sosebee was a member and deacon at Amy's Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Fieldale Corporation. Survivors include: his wife, Dora Sosebee of Demorest, GA; his daughter: Terrie Sheets of Clarkesville, GA; 2 sons: Cecil Sosebee of Lula, GA and Scott Sosebee of Clarkesville, GA. 1 sister: Lola Mae Allen of Cleveland, GA; 1 brother: Idus Sosebee of Clarkesville, GA. 8 Grandchildren: Jennifer Rineheart, Richard Sheets, Cody Sheets, Daniel Sheets, Zackery Sosebee, Madison Sosebee, Heather McDaniel and Crystal Story. 1 great grandchild: Rhett Rineheart. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2006, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Steve Merck and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 7 p.m. till 9p.m. Saturday.
