Ione E. Jackson

IONE E. JACKSON, age 91, of Cleveland, GA, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Jackson was born on January 6, 1915 in Towns County, Georgia to the late Charlie W. and Bertie Stansel Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin Jackson, James Jackson, and J. C. Jackson as well as a sister, Alene Chambers. Mrs. Jackson was retired from Talon at Cleveland with 23 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law: Yvonne and Malcom Quick, Lilburn, GA; Linda and Jack Windom, Jr., Lawrenceville, GA; sister: Margie Nell Jackson, Atlanta, GA; Brothers: Clarence Jackson, Mobile, AL; Bernard Jackson, Marietta, GA; Charles Jackson, Conyers, GA; Royce Jackson, Snellville, GA; Russell Jackson, Kingsport, TN; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Nancy Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
