Imogene Craig Alexander

Imogene Craig Alexander, age 87 of Clarkesville, GA died Thursday, February 21, 2008. Mrs. Alexander was born on August 31, 1920 in Decatur County, KS to the late Clarence William & Alma Goode Craig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Alexander, son, Doyle William Alexander, several brothers & sister. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. Survivors include, daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl & Charles Hutchens, Clarkesville, GA, Becky Sue & Calvin Waters, Clarkesville, GA, Mary Lynn & Dwayne Rich, Clarkesville, GA, Alma Marie Alexander, Kyle, TX , Imogene Venecia & Mike Thomas, Toccoa, sons & daughters-in-law, Emmanuel Craig & Anna Alexander, Toccoa, GA, Virgle Samuel & Patsy Alexander, Toccoa, GA, sister, Genevieve Iona Schuler, Marietta, OK, and over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA, on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Austin Kelley, & Rev. Adam Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Humphries officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm.
