Hugh Patrick Mcshane

HUGH PATRICK MCSHANE, age 94, of Cornelia, GA, died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. McShane was born on October 10, 1911 in Hickory, NC. He was a son of the late Patrick and Josephine Kendall McShane and was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Short McShane. Mr. McShane was a United States Army World War II veteran. He attended the Cornelia First Baptist Church. Mr. McShane was retired from the American Bakery Company with 27 years of service and was the co-owner of McShane's Flowers and Small Engine Service. Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law: Margaret M. and Brian Sutton, Clarkesville, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Dr. Patrick and Holly McShane, Clarkesville, GA; 5 grandchildren: Patrick McShane, Rome, GA, Kelsey and Kendall McShane; Drayton and Matthew Sutton, all of Clarkesville, GA. He was the last member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. James Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Gray Hill Cemetery, Commerce, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
