Horace Carlton Wilson

Horace Carlton Wilson, age 69, of Cornelia, GA passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born in Habersham County, on March 10, 1939 to the late George and Olivia Kelly Wilson. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Wilson, wife, Helen Imogene Sinnemon Wilson, son, William Darryl Wilson, brothers, Lamar Wilson, Buck Wilson, Roy Wilson and a sister Mary Trotter. Mr. Wilson attended the Demorest Church of God, was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from Fleming Food Service after 30 years of dedicated service. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Jim Bell, Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Teresa Wilson, Alto, GA; son, Jeff Wilson, Demorest, GA; sisters Martha Heaton, Demorest, GA and Carol Wilson, Demorest, GA; brothers, Tommy Wilson, Cleveland, GA, 4 grandchildren, Mandy Wilson, Andy Wilson, Brianna Bell, Eric Wilson; 1 great-grandchild, Isaac McCraw. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. William Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2-4 and 6-9 on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
