Homer Keith Ramey

Homer Keith Ramey, age 57, of Cornelia, GA, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Stephens County Hospital. Mr. Ramey was born on February 20, 1952 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Cheek Ramey. Mr. Ramey was a member of the Hill Street Baptist Church and was a retired mechanic with Shaw Industries. He enjoyed football and baseball. Survivors include: his parents: James C. and Virginia Crane Ramey, Cornelia, GA; his daughter: Jennifer Ramey Lomax, Cornelia, GA; his sons: Justin Chad Ramey and Derek James Ramey, both of Toccoa, GA; his sister and brother-in-law: Regina and Bill King, Stockbridge, GA; his brothers: Larry Ramey, Toccoa, GA; Dwayne Ramey, Clarkesville, GA; Jerry Ramey, Alto, GA; Steve Ramey, Baldwin, GA; 2 grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with Rev. Vernon Dormity officiating. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday. October 29, 2009.
