Homer W. Mcdonald, Jr.

HOMER W. MCDONALD JR., age 78, of Baldwin, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at his residence. Mr. McDonald was born on April 19, 1928 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Homer Warren McDonald Sr. and Decie Sanders McDonald Saville. In addition to his parents, family preceding him in death are as follows: Francine McDonald, George Saville, Virginia Looney, Andrew McDonald, and Marlene Bennett. Mr. McDonald was a member at Cornelia Christian Church for over 50 years. Mr. McDonald was a self employed automobile dealer for 60 years. Survivors include his family, Douglas W., Sr. and Carol McDonald, Baldwin, GA; Mark Anthony and Maria Ann McDonald, Suwanee, GA; Ruth McDonald, Duluth, GA; C.L. Pritchett, Baldwin, GA; Harold Pritchett, Baldwin, GA; Glenda Ernest, Toccoa, GA. Mr. McDonald also had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from Cornelia Christian Church with David Terrell, Rev. Oliver Dorsey, and Rev. Brian James officiating. Entombment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Mr. McDonald will be placed in the church to lie instate from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
