Hettie Hope Ledford

HETTIE HOPE LEDFORD, age 94, of Demorest, GA, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at a private health care facility. Mrs. Ledford was born on November 24, 1912 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Jesse Henry and Katherine Andrews Hope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle C. Ledford. Mrs. Ledford was a member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church. She was a food service technician at Habersham County School System with 15 years of service. Survivors include: her brother-in-law and his wife: Raymond and Frances Ledford, Demorest, GA; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Dr. C. Harry Rudasill and Rev. Walter Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Woods Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Young Harris, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday.
