Henry Hugh Young

HENRY HUGH YOUNG, age 90, of Clarkesville, Georgia, died suddenly at his residence on Friday, January 19, 2007. Mr. Young was born on March 12, 1916 in Hall County, Georgia to the late John Wiley and Bertha Lou Ida Peck Young. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mae Jones Young, a son, Earl Young, brothers, Flavil Young, Glenn Young, and Euel Young as well as a sister Cora Young. Mr. Young was a United States Army World War II veteran and was a member of the Grant Reeves V. F. W. Post #7720. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a member of The Odd Fellows. Mr. Young was a retired truck driver. Survivors include: his daughters: Winona Young, Clarkesville, GA; Wanda Sue Payne, Marietta, GA; sisters: Estelle Hurley, Gainesville, GA; Annabelle Young, Rex, GA; brother: Ernest Young, Gainesville, GA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA, with Rev. Tony Kemp officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Rabun County DAV Chapter #15 and the Habersham County American Legion Post #84.
