Henry Lee Price

HENRY LEE PRICE, age 82 of Clarkesville, GA, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Price was born on February 14, 1926 in Amelia County, Virginia to the late Reuben R. and Mary Ellen Hunter Price. Mr. Price was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II on the battleship U.S.S. New York. He was a member and deacon of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Price was a retired electrician with Russell Corporation. Survivors include: his wife: Frances C. Price, Clarkesville, GA; his daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Frances and Edward Walters, Toccoa, GA; Sandra and John Paul Vinson, Buford, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Ronald L. and Jackie A. Price, Toccoa, GA; his sisters: Kathleen Cifers, Amelia Courthouse, VA; Lucille Williams, Crewe, VA; his twin brother: Nelson B. Price, Burkeville, VA; 6 grandchildren: Staci Newsome, Heidi Cochran, Carleton Walters, Jonathan Vinson, Miranda Liddle, Natalie Healy; 8 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donald Holbrook and Layman Jonathan Vinson officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Habersham County American Legion Chapter #84, the Rabun County Disabled American Veterans Post #15, and the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post #7720. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
