Helen Boggs Ivie

Helen Boggs Ivie, age 75, of Baldwin, GA died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Ivie was born on June 20, 1932 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Joe and Cora Lea Barnes Boggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara McDuffie. Mrs. Ivie was a retired from Orbit Manufacturing as Supervisor with several years service. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Ivie was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: her husband, Donald Ivie, Baldwin, GA; her son: Donald Ivie, Jr., Demorest, GA; her sister: Betty Lewallen, Baldwin, GA; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel with Rev. Luther Williams and Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the V. F. W. Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. on Friday.
