Hazel V. Coley Jones

HAZEL V. COLEY JONES, age 89, of Alto, GA, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at a private care facility. Mrs. Jones was born on December 30, 1916 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Charlie Harrison Coley and Lillie Viola Cook Coley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Grier Jones, sons, C. M. Jones and Wilbern Jones as well as a brother Haskell Coley. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the New Vision Worship Center. Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-law: Paralee and Howard Anderson, Oakwood, GA; Glenda and J. C. Hix, Alto, GA; Daughter-in-law: Lucy Jones, Lula, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law: William W. and Frances Jones, Alto, GA; Sister: Ruth Shore, Alto, GA; Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Corbin and Edna Coley and Albert and Jo Nell Coley, all of Alto, GA; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 9, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with Rev. Bobby Griffin and Rev. Corbin Coley officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clyde Garrison officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
