Harold Wayne Gunn

HAROLD WAYNE GUNN, age 59, of Demorest, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Mr. Gunn was born on October 2, 1954, in Habersham County; he was the son of the late Roy and Ola Mae Gunn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, William Gunn. Harold was a retired contractor and Land Developer. He was an avid deer hunter and holds the record for the biggest non-typical whitetail in the Firearms Division of the Georgia Big Deer Contest for 2011 with a Boone and Crockett Club score of 199 4/8. Harold was passionate about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and spent many years witnessing and spreading the Gospel to family, friends, business acquaintances, and so many others. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Dianne Odum Gunn, Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Pauline Gunn, Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Tommy Lewallen, Demorest; as well as four nieces, ten nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Wayne Hicks and Rev. Brian Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Oakey Mountain Baptist Church cemetery.
