Harold L. London

HAROLD L. LONDON, age 76, of Cornelia, GA, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at an area medical center. Mr. London was born on July 15, 1931 in White County, Georgia to the late Joseph Franklin and Lola Smith London. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Weaver, Della Mae London, and Pearl Mogene London as well as his brothers, James F. London and Terrell Eugene London. Mr. London was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church; there he served as Deacon for 54 years. He was a retired inspector at Schnadig Corporation with 45 years of service. Survivors include: his wife: Corene Tench London, Cornelia, GA; his daughter and sons-in-law: Gail and James Mealer, Baldwin, GA; Patsy and Glenn Rice, Demorest, GA; Portia and Ronnie Hill, Clarkesville, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Edwin and Rolanda London, Cornelia, GA; his brothers: Robert London, Cleveland, GA; Marvin London, Mt. Airy, GA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Royce Winters officiating. Interment will follow in the Demorest City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
