Grant Kerwin Stageberg

Grant Kerwin Stageberg, age 72, of Mt. Airy, GA, went to be with the Lord following a lengthy illness, on Friday, February 2, 2007 Mr. Stageberg was born on January 06, 1935 in Red Wing, Minnesota to the late Sterling Oliver and Mary Irene Grant Stageberg. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his one brother Dennis Stageberg. Mr. Stageberg was a member of The Torch, Cornelia, GA. He was United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a Missionary having served in Costa Rica for six years. He was also a reverse mortgage specialist. Survivors include: his wife of 17 years Patricia June Stageberg, of Mt. Airy, GA: one daughter: Kristie Lee Collins, Lutz, FL; two sons: Scott Kerwin Stageberg, ST. Augustine FL; Kevin Grant Stageberg, Lakeland FL; and two brothers: Gene Stageberg, Minnetonka, Minn; Will Stageberg, Minneapolis, Minn; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at The Torch Cornelia, GA with Rev. Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery, Canton GA In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help cover final expenses. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
