Grace Clark

GRACE CLARK, age 86, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Clark was born on July 18, 1922 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Andrew and Emily Gibby Dill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verner Clark, her sister, Frances Dill, and brothers, Robert and James Dill. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Hazel Creek Baptist Church. She was employed for 49 years with different sewing plants in the area. Mrs. Clark enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Survivors include: her daughter, Lois Holden, Mt. Airy, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: Ray and Gwen Clark, Mt. Airy, GA; her sisters: Ruth Alexander, Wilma Dill, and Blanche Dill, all of Mt. Airy, GA; her brother, Lewis Dill, Mt. Airy, GA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Billy Burrell and Rev. Jeremy Garmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Braxton officiating at the graveside.
