Grace W. Allen

GRACE W. ALLEN, age 90, of Demorest, GA passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Allen was born on November 17, 1918 to the late William A. and Ella Mae Smith Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jiles E. "Dock" Allen, brother, Ralph Wiggins, and sister, Ellene Wiggins. Mrs. Allen was a member of Habersham Baptist Church and was retired from Habersham Mills. Survivors include daughter, Julia Mae Allen Porterfield, Newport News, VA; niece, Pat Greenolt, Boise, Idaho; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Habersham Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Payne, Rev. Matthew Thomas, and Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Habersham Cemetery.
