Glenn Louis Calmes

GLENN LOUIS CALMES, age 69, of Homer, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Mr. Calmes was born on April 18, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Glenn Bourgus and Dorthea Knocknl Calmes. He was a graduate of North Georgia College, and was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Calmes was employed with Home Depot for the past 11 years, and was an avid car lover, racer, motorcyclist, scuba diver, design engineer, and basically a problem solver. Mr. Calmes was of the Episcopalian faith. He was an excellent Husband and provider. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 and a half years, Ann Sikes Calmes, of Homer; mother-in-law, Helen Sikes, of Cornelia; daughters, Cory Calmes, of North Carolina; and Brandie Warnock, of Homer. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. to the service hour, on the same day of the service.
