Gladys Ward Holland

GLADYS WARD HOLLAND, age 79, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at the residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Holland was born on January 9, 1934 in Homer, Georgia; daughter of the late John Hugh Dorsey and Bertie Carter Ward. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Emerson Parker, second husband, Stuart Holland, and brother, Joe Ward. Mrs. Holland was a member of Cornelia Christian Church and was associated with Currahee Greenhouses. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Norton, Cornelia; son, Ronnie Holland, Cornelia; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dan Dean, Cornelia; granddaughter, Misti Norton, Cornelia. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hal Cason officiating. All family and friends should meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Halcyon Hospice, 1435 Haw Creek Circle Suite 402, Cumming, Georgia 30041.
