Geraldine Ferguson Burrell

GERALDINE FERGUSON BURRELL, age 60, of Mt. Airy, GA passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at a local area hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Burrell was born in Lumpkin County, GA on July 30, 1949 to the late Claude and Lillie Mae Gilstrap Ferguson. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Burrell retired from Scenic View Health Care after years of dedicated service as a CNA. Survivors include husband, Herman Burrell, Mt. Airy, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Mary Burrell, Mt. Airy, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Jay Hammett, Cleveland, GA; sisters Betty Jean Black, Dahlonega, GA, Shirley Ferguson Shook, Baldwin, GA, Christine Ferguson, Cornelia, GA and Martha Autry, Cleveland, GA; brothers, Richard Ferguson, Fairview Community and Randy Ferguson, Alto, GA; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Burrell, William Morrison, Krystal Burrell and River Hammett. Funeral service will held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Paul Flynn and Rev. Guy Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
