George W. Mccollum, Jr.

GEORGE W. MCCOLLUM, JR., age 66, Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, following an extended illness. Mr. McCollum was born on January 9, 1948, in Clarkesville Georgia; son of the late George Washington McCollum, Sr. and Thelma Mae Scott McCollum. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty "Lynn" Dickerson McCollum. Mr. McCollum was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. He was a former Fireman with Hall County Fire Department and was retired from Peachtree Doors. Survivors include his children, Kelli C. McCollum and friend, LeRoy Frost, Cleveland, Patrick Sean McCollum, Gainesville, Erin Lynn McCollum, Gainesville; sisters, Joyce Bentley, Cleveland, Jane Hester, Cleveland; brother, Don McCollum, Cleveland.
