Frank W. James

FRANK W. JAMES, age 89, of Alto, Georgia, formerly of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010. Mr. James was born on June 20, 1921, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late William James. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Velma R. Davis James; his brothers, William Jesse and Vernon James; and his sister, Martha Louise Freels. Mr. James was a veteran of World War II having proudly served in the United States Navy. Mr. James was a retired house painter. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Rembert H. Cragg, Alto, GA; granddaughter, Lori Ann Fain, Buford, GA; grandson, Lorne H. Cragg and his wife, DeRenda, Mt. Airy, GA; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Christian Pierce, Mt. Airy, GA; and niece, Anna Jenkins and husband, Wilburn, Evansville, IN. A private family gathering will be held for Mr. James. Interment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
