FRANK E. CURTIS, age 88, of Demorest, Georgia, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the residence following an extended illness. Mr. Curtis was born on May 14, 1920 in Clay County, North Carolina to the late Clyde Worth and Flora Martha Curtis. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran having served in England and France during World War II. Mr. Curtis was a member of the Demorest Church of God. He was retired from Ethicon (formerly known as Lumite and then Chicopee Manufacturing) with 44 years of dedicated service. Survivors include: his wife: Dorothy W. Curtis, Demorest, Georgia; his daughter and son-in-law: Linda and David Barnes, Demorest, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law: Ken and Joan Curtis, Demorest, Georgia; his sisters: Louise Tucker, Chamblee, Georgia; Wilma Roach, Monks Corner, South Carolina; his brother: Mark Curtis, Hayesville, North Carolina; his granddaughter and his husband: Allyson and Ron Marshall, Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. William Cox officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2009 from the Hayesville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hayesville, North Carolina.
