Frances Wilbanks Duncan

FRANCES WILBANKS DUNCAN, age 87, of Anderson, SC, and formerly of Cornelia, GA, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at a private care facility. Mrs. Duncan was born on December 15, 1920 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Guy L. and Berdie Lane Wilbanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Callie L. Duncan, Jr., a brother, Lane Wilbanks, and a sister, Virginia Van Sant. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson, SC and was a homemaker. She was a retired LPN having served 12 years at the Anderson Memorial Hospital. Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law: Pat Duncan Stuart and Bill Stuart, Anderson, SC; Priscilla Duncan Pace and Charles Pace, Hartwell, GA; her sisters: Mary Amig, Otto, NC; Guynelle Creighton, Canton, GA; Betty Pruitt, Baldwin, GA; her brother: Donald Wilbanks, Alto, GA; a special sister: Priscilla Mabry, Baldwin, GA; a special niece: Peggy Pruitt, Cornelia, GA; 4 grandchildren: Sallie and Steve Yon, Kelley and Tom Silvia, Amanda and Eric Shoemaker, and Patty Pace; 6 great-grandchildren: Will, Callie, Sophia, and Isabella Silvia, Harry and Georgie Yon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Deborah Broadwell officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O.
