Foy L. "Pete" Mcpherson

FOY L. "PETE" MCPHERSON, age 74, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. Mr. McPherson was born on August 3, 1938, in Alpharetta, Georgia to the late Bunk ad Bessie Ogles McPherson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin and James McPherson, and a sister, Barbara Jean McPherson. He was a retired United States Army Vietnam Veteran with 20 years of service. Mr. McPherson was awarded the Silver Star medal. He was an auto mechanic and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Pat McPherson, Lula; son, Keith McPherson, Lula and a granddaughter, Breana McPherson. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Fort Gordon U.S. Army Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
