Evon Morris

Evon Morris, age 62, of Homer, Georgia, died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Athens Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Ms. Morris was born on June 18, 1943 in Habersham County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Kenny and Ethelene Morris and was also preceded in death by her son, Tony L. Galloway, and her brother James Morris. Ms. Morris attended Baldwin Church of God and was a homemaker. Survivors include: her daughter, Kathy Ann Miller,Toccoa, GA; sons: James Ken Morris, Ricky Galloway, and Dan Galloway, all of Homer GA. Sisters: Mary Lou Wade, Cleveland GA: Esther Firebird, Macon GA.; brothers: Frank L. Morris, Homer, GA; John Morris, Martin GA. grandchildren: James A. Simmons and Ashley V. Simmons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel with Rev. Paul Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel, Baldwin from 6 to 8 on Sunday and 5 to 8 on Monday.
