Everett R. "Birmingham" Lewis

EVERETT R. "BIRMINGHAM" LEWIS, age 92, of Clarkesville, GA, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at a private care facility following an extended illness. Mr. Lewis was born on October 15, 1914 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Jean and Beulah Conley Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Rita Gail Barrett Lewis. He was a member of the Clarkesville Methodist Church. Mr. Lewis was retired from Genuine Parts Company. Surviving are, his family, Son and Daughter-in-law: Gary and Debbie Lewis and Grandson, Gavin Lewis, all of Grayson, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007 from the Clarkesville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
