EVERETT PITTS, age 75, of Mt. Airy, Georgia died Thursday, May 21, 2009 following an extended illness. Mr. Pitts was born on April 16, 1934 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Grady and Nellie Pitts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Caudell, and a grandson, David Issac Pitts. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: his wife: Doris Pitts, Mt. Airy, GA; his sons and daughters-in-law: Danny and Beth Pitts, Demorest, GA; Clinton and Beverly Pitts, Cleveland, GA; his son: Mark Pitts, Mt. Airy, GA; his sister: Gertrude Rider, Clarkesville, GA; his half-sisters: Shirley Taylor and Lurlene Dodd, both of Mt. Airy, GA; his step-sister: Patsy Brock, Mt. Airy,GA; his brother: Robert Pitts, Valdosta, GA; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren. No formal memorial services are scheduled at this time.
