Everage Lewallen, age 89, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Lewallen was born on September 15, 1929 in Homer, Georgia to the late Carson Willie Lewallen and Mamie Brady Lewallen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Lewallen. Mr. Lewallen was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. He was a retired supervisor with Carwood - Duckhead Manufacturing with 41 years of service. Everage was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he had a great love for fishing. Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Evelyn Wood Lewallen, of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nancy Lewallen, of Cornelia; Randy and Ann Lewallen, of Baldwin; Richard and Janette Lewallen, of Baldwin; sister-in-law, Ann Lewallen, of Buford; eight granddaughters and their spouses, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and special care providers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Jerry Payne and Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2019 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Baldwin Baptist Church Building Fund, 200 Shore Street, Baldwin, Georgia 30511 Arrangements are in care of Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 1370 Industrial Boulevard, Baldwin, Georgia 30511.
