Evelyn Griffin Heerwagen

Evelyn Griffin Heerwagen, age 62, of Toccoa, Georgia and formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Mrs. Heerwagen was born on January 29, 1953 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Ollie and Ruth Waldrup Griffin. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, William Heerwagen, Toccoa, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Bobby Mann, Statham, GA, Vicki and Kevin Thurmond, Demorest, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Swain Lawson, Gainesville, GA; sister, Betty Canipe, Hickory, NC; brother, Bill Griffin, Clarkesville, GA; grandsons, Justin Mann, Kendall Mann, and Cotton Thurmond; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., on the day of the service at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
