Evareen Whitfield Brown

EVAREEN WHITFIELD BROWN, age 81, of Banks County, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at The Oaks at Limestone Nursing Facility. Mrs. Brown was born in Banks County, GA on July 14, 1926, to the late Joseph and Mae Stowe Whitfield. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Brown Sr., and her son, Johnny Brown Sr. Mrs. Brown was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church and a home maker. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Samples, Commerce, GA and Jeanette Smith, Gainesville, GA, sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Karen Brown, Jr., Lithia Springs, GA and Cliff and Marsha Brown, Euharlee, GA, sister, Lois Savage, South GA, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Lilburn Newsome, Baldwin, GA, sister, Margie Lou Broome, Homer, GA, brother, Harold Whitfield, Clarkesville, GA, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Dr. Kenneth Franklin, and Rev. Mike Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2008 and 12-9 pm on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
