Ethel A. Mcallister

MRS. ETHEL ALLEN MCALLISTER, age 92 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, May 19, 2011. Mrs. McAllister was born in White County, on November 6, 1918, to the late Charlie and Elsie Freeman Allen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H.G. McAllister, infant son, Farrell McAllister, brothers, Fulton, Ray, Albert, and Johnny Allen, sisters, Bertha Carson, Sylvia Whitley, and infant sister, Ruth Allen. She was a member at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. McAllister was a home maker; she also loved gardening and her animals. Mrs. McAllister enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Carolyn McAllister, Clarkesville, GA; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Alice Allen, both of Clarkesville, GA; nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Furman Lewis, Rev. Paris Whitworth, and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
