Eric Maybach

Eric Maybach, age 77, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 following an extended illness. Mr. Maybach was born on September 16, 1941 in Hamburg, New York to the late Roy and Josephine Maybach. He retired from Clarkesville Mill with 28 years of service. Eric had a passion for restoring antique cars, enjoying this hobby for most of his adult life. He loved to hike, having accomplished most of the Appalachian Trail. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Lovell, of Clarkesville; brother, Ralph Peckins, of Clarkesville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Derek Gabrels, of Demorest; step-daughter, Tammy Lovell, of Hiawassee; three step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. As Eric wished, no formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ms. Nancy Lovell, P.O. Box 456, Clarkesville, Georgia 30523.
