Emory Garrison

EMORY GARRISON, age 67, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Mr. Garrison was born on February 8, 1943, in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Vandiver C. and Sula Adderholdt Garrison. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a United States Air Force Veteran having proudly served in the 550th Strategic Missile Squadron and in the 310th Aerospace Wing. He was a retired employee of Global Tech and was formerly employed with Fieldale and McDonald's. Mr. Garrison was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Garrison, New York; sister and brother-in-law, Eva Mae and Willis Thomas, Demorest, GA; and sister, Loise Robinett, Versailles, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Garry Garrison officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, Rabun County DAV Chapter #15, and Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
