Elsie Evans Coffee Martin

Elsie Evans Coffee Martin, age 80, of Baldwin, GA, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Martin was born on July 23, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James Benjamin and Bertha Wilson Evans. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jewell I. Coffee, and her second husband, James C. Martin, her brothers, J. D. Evans and Robert Evans as well as a sister Bernice Evans Smith. Mrs. Martin was a retired employee of The Steak House with over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2, Murrayville, GA. Survivors include: her daughter: Malinda Vetrano, Cornelia, GA; her sons: Jule Coffee, Baldwin, GA; Johnny Coffee, Mt. Airy, GA; Ralph Martin, Dawsonville, GA; Robert Martin, Gainesville, GA; Sister: Lucille Evans Henson, Mt. Airy, GA; Brother: Charles Evans, Commerce, GA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with David Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
