Eloise Herring York

ELOISE HERRING YORK, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, following a brief illness. Mrs. York was born on September 10, 1927, in Bowman, Georgia; daughter of the late Luther and Roxie Carrington Herring. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Otto Marion York. Mrs. York retired from Ethicon, Inc. with 30 plus years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia. Survivors include her daughters, Kathie York Stephens (Junior), Demorest, GA and Lisa York Kimsey (Jimmy), Clarkesville, GA; son, Keith York (Susie), Cornelia, GA; sister, Linda Benfield, Mt. Airy, GA; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m., on Wednesday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
