Graveside Services for Mrs. Eloise Lamb will be conducted Monday, March 25, 2024 at 1:30 pm in the Demorest City Cemetery with Rev. Doug Godfrey officiating.
A native of Buford, Georgia, Eloise was born on September 8, 1930 to the late Fonnie Overby and the late Mildred Haynie Overby. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert B. Lamb, by her brother, Kendall Overby, and by her sisters, Margie Phagan and Helon Bare. Eloise was a Teacher’s Aide for Baldwin County Schools. She had previously worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C.. She liked to read history, work in her garden, and enjoyed photography. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Milledgeville.
Eloise is survived by her daughters, Susan (& Jerome) Janzen of Leesburg; Barbara Lamb of Knoxville, TN; her son, Robert (& Kay) Lamb of Greer, SC; her grandchildren, Paul (& Laura) Johnstono, David (& Lindsey) Johnstono, Amy (& Andrew) Malligan, Matthew (& Ayca) Bolt, Lisa Bolt, and Eric (& Amanda) Lamb; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel to assist Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville.
