Elmer Henry Mcclurg

ELMER HENRY MCCLURG, age 75, of Cleveland, GA, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at an area medical center. Mr. McClurg was born on August 8, 1932 in Wedowee, Alabama to the late Jesse and Gladys Mitchell McClurg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Myra Lynn McClurg. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. McClurg was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and was a mason. He was formerly employed with Johnson Motor Lines and ABF Motor Lines. Survivors include: his daughter: Angela McClurg, Alto, GA; his sisters: Joyce Logue and Helen McClurg, both of Jacksonville, FL; his brothers: Bobby McClurg and Wayne McClurg, both of Alabama; 3 grandchildren: Rylan, Dana, and Evan Moody. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Morris officiating.
