Elizabeth Irvin Griffin

ELIZABETH IRVIN GRIFFIN, age 84, of Royston and formerly of Homer, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011. Mrs. Griffin was born on May 5, 1926, in Jackson County, Georgia to the late James and Ida Tanner Irvin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marlin D. Griffin, son, James Ralph Griffin, and daughter, June Patton. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Homer, Georgia. Survivors include her sister, Imogene Chambers, Homer, GA; brother, George Irvin, Roswell, GA; and 3 grandchildren, Beth Beasley, Homer, GA, Peyton Griffin, Demorest, GA, and Greg Patton, Lavonia, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia. Private interment will be held at Bethany Christian Church at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., just prior to the funeral service on Sunday, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
