Eleanor Kimsey Crow

Eleanor Kimsey Crow, of Athens, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, in her home. Mrs. Crow was born in Cornelia, at home on Christmas Day the year of 1925 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clay Kimsey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold M. Crow, brother, Jack Kimsey, nephew, Bill KImsey, and sister-in-law, Lucy S. Kimsey. Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Carol Crow Lineberger and John Lineberger, Marietta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Church Barrow Crow, Athens, GA; brother, Cliff C. Kimsey, Cornelia, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Sue Kimsey Blair and Dale Blair, Cornelia, GA; sister-in-law, Gloria Kimsey; grandchildren, John M. and Rebecca Bear Lineberger, Matthew C. and Patricia Hooks Lineberger, Parker B. Crow, Eleanor L. Crow, and Michael B. Crow; great-grandchild, Tyler Hampshire-Crow. A memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from the First Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia with Dr. Jon Appleton and Dr. Paul Baxley officiated. The family received friends following the funeral service in the First Baptist Fellowship Hall. Arrangements are in the care of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Athens, Georgia.
