EDWIN MORRIS BROWN, JR., age 66, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Mr. Brown was born on August 5, 1945, in Senoia, Georgia; son of the late Edwin Morris Brown, Sr. and Aline Strickland Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eulan G. Brown. Mr. Brown managed the Brown Bell Golf Course for a number of years and was a good golfer. He wrote a book titled "How My Daddy Built the Golf Course" in Senoia, Georgia. Mr. Brown was formerly employed with Belk's in Cornelia and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Marion Ansley Brown, Demorest, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena Patricia and Ricky Ray, Peachtree City, GA and Lila and Gary Teal, Sharpsburg, GA; brothers, Bela Brown, Tallahassee, FL and Cecil Brown, Fayetteville, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m., on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Queon Smith and Dr. Bill Barrs officiating.
