Edward Leroy Broome

November 6, 1937 — June 20, 2023

LeRoy Broome age 85, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Mr. Broome was born on November 6, 1937, in Baldwin, Georgia to the late Wilson Woodrow Broome and Grace Chipwood Broome Mace. LeRoy attended Habersham High School before serving in the U.S. Army from February 1955 to February 1958. He was a truck driver and his love was to ride around looking for deer and other wildlife. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Broome, Clois Broome, sister, Peggy Jean Broome and step-brother J.L. Mealor.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jane Broom, of Baldwin, his children Sherri, & Travis Wilson of Hudson Florida, Cindy & Michael Scott of Fort Myers, Florida, Brenda & Ricky Bell of Waycross, Georgia, Fred E, Ferst, of Waycross, Georgia, Johnny and Rhonda Kinnon of Brantley County, and sister Bernice Ensurd, of Kentucky.

Mr. Broome's wished were to be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
