Edna Mae Wade

EDNA MAE DARNELL WADE, age 78, of Alto, GA, died Friday, June 2, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Wade was born on July 18, 1927 in Jackson County, Georgia. She was a daughter of the late John Edgar and Carrie Mae Hyde Darnell and was also preceded in death by her husband, Odell Walter Wade as well as her brothers, Herman Darnell and Hubert Darnell. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker and attended the Alto Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include: her daughters: Shirley Duncan and Sandy Thompson, both of Alto, GA; her sons: Jimmy Wade and Johnny Wade, both of Alto, GA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Tim Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Alto CH Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
