Edgar Newton Crow

Edgar Newton Crow, Jr., age 78, of Maysville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Mr. Crow was born on December 6, 1942 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Edgar Crow, Sr. and Gladys Waldrup Crow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Doris Campbell Crow; and brother, James Milton Crow. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia. Mr. Crow was a United States Air Force Veteran. JR loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much! He was known to his grandchildren as "Pawpaw". Survivors include his son, Michael Crow, of Maysville; daughter, Pam Shirley, of Maysville; grandchildren, Zach Shirley, Chantay Shirley, Leia and husband Joseph Webb; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, AJ, Cambrie, Baylus, Mayson; sisters, Sarah Crow Gardiner, Dorothy Crow Lewis, Shelia Crow and Judy Crow. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel prior to the service.
