Eddie Dale Canup

Eddie Dale Canup, age 54, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Mr. Canup was born on November 18, 1961 in Stephens County, Georgia. He was a member of Double Springs Church where he served as deacon and was church clerk. Mr. Canup served on the Board of Advisors for the Salvation Army for the Northeast Georgia Region. He was a Mason and a member of Mount Airy Masonic Lodge #141 F & AM where he served as secretary of his lodge, and was past master of the lodge. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Donna Littleton Canup, of Mt. Airy; parents, William E. "Bill" Canup and Edna Tench Canup, of Mt. Airy; son, Bradley Allan Canup, of Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Stacie and Mark Perry, of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Kim Canup, of Mt. Airy; nieces, Kaitlyn Suggs, Kerra Canup, and Madison Perry. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Royce Winters and Pastor Wesley Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Masonic Graveside Rites. The family will receive friends 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm., Monday, September 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
