Dorothy Clark Stroud

Dorothy Clark Stroud, age 82, of Mt. Airy died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at an area Medical Center. Mrs. Stroud was born on August 1, 1925 in Habersham County, to the late Clarence Clark Sr. and Clara Hurt Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband Reece Stroud, a sister Alice Hannon and a brother Junior Clark. Mrs. Stroud was of the Baptist faith and a school secretary. She had a love for flowers, gardening, blue birds and hummingbirds. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law: Glenda and Mark Roddy; son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Jean Stroud; sister: Joyce Strange; three Grandchildren: Valerie Roddy, Alex and wife Erin Stroud, and Katie Stroud; one great-grandchild: Benjamin Stroud. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
