Dorothy Woody Curtis

DOROTHY WOODY CURTIS, age 87, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Habersham Home East following an extended illness. Mrs. Curtis was born on December 8, 1925, in Clay County, North Carolina, to the late Claud and Mattie Ledford Woody. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eli Curtis; sisters, Madge Woody and Doris Lewis; and brother, Carl Woody. Mrs. Curtis was a full time dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dr. Walter P. Christian, Demorest, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Joan Curtis, Demorest, GA; sister, Mary Clyde Rogers, Hayesville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Walt Cole, Hayesville, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Joann Woody, Hayesville, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Allyson and Ron Marshall, Macon, GA; great-granddaughter, Annalee Marshall; and a very special care giver, Jeanette Burch, Demorest, GA. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Hayesville First United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hayesville, North Carolina, with Mr. Ken Curtis officiating.
