DOROTHY BEATRICE ELLIOTT MCALISTER, age 83, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Mrs. McAlister was born on November 27, 1930 in White County, Georgia; daughter of the late Paul N. and Bessie Blalock Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harold McAlister; sisters, Lorene Thurmond, Mildred Elliott, Alice Head, brothers; Garvice Elliott and George Elliott. Mrs. McAlister was a member of Cleveland Full Gospel Holiness Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Plant, Cornelia, Elva and Fred Kulinsky, West Palm Beach, FL, Paula and Tim Morgan, Gainesville; daughter, Donnice McAlister, Demorest; son Alpheus McAlister, Demorest; brother, Farrell Elliott, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jantzen Plant, Shannon McAlister, Shannon Kulinsky, Danielle McKean, Ryan Kulinsky, Jeffery Kulinsky, Matthew Frey, Chase Frey, Suzanne Harris, Amelia Sims, Andrew Sims and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, 245 Central Ave, Demorest, Georgia with Pastor Jeff Appling and Rev. John Wood officiating. Entombment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
