Doris Tench Stamey

Doris Tench Stamey, age 96, of Braselton, Georgia andDemorest, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Mrs. Stamey was born on May 21, 1925 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Hezekiah and Viola Ivie Tench. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Odell Stamey; son, Robert Gary Stamey; brothers, Dan Tench, Dewey Tench, and Hoyt Tench; sister, Dorothy O'Neal, and Helen McGaha. Mrs. Stamey was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Miller, of Powder Springs; son, R.H. Stamey; brothers, Douglas Tench, of Chamblee; Donald Tench, of Cornelia; Funeral Services will be heldat 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Chris York officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at the funeral home.
