Doris Lillian Ramey

Doris Lillian Ramey, age 80, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011, following an extended illness. Ms. Ramey was born in Clarkesville, Georgia on January 12, 1931, to the late Albert L. and Ida Esther Jones Ramey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest, Paul, Bill and Clifford Ramey and her sisters, Patsy Ann Ramey and Carolyn Ramey. Ms. Ramey was of the Baptist Faith and a dedicated homemaker. Survivors include sister, Cleo Reddick, Sterlington, LA, Mary Collier, Clarkesville, GA, Grace Kenly, Monroe, LA, Evelyn Costa, Clarkesville, GA, Brenda Wade, Alto, GA; brother, Robert Ramey, Norcross, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Jones Family Cemetery, Ben Jones Road, Clarkesville, Georgia. The family will be at the residence, 1765 Ben Jones Road, Clarkesville, GA 30523. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia 706-778-1700.
